mom 3

mom slept from about 8pm last night and is still sleeping. she is breathing well, but odd she hasn't even got up to go toidy. i'm going to try to lay back down and you watch now she'll get up.
jose came at the crack of dawn to work on the door. this has really been a project for him as he has had to cut the logs around it bigger for it to fit and raise the door to clear the floor so it can open.
these old houses nothing is easy to fix and always run into problems.

In about an hour, Albertson's will officially be GONE & Associated Fresh Market(s) will be taking their place!!! We (as employees) are excited! I have to go in later tonight (9pm) to a store-wide mtg & then start hanging tags. The store(s) closed - to the public - at 6pm & will be re-opening at 12 noon on Monday! Western Family products will be replacing the Albertson's brand. Hopefully, our new uniform T-shirts will be there - these are temporary 'til our regular...

mom slept well last night, wish i could say the same.
once this mad rush of setting her up is over i have to try to get on a better schedule so i can get some rest.
i'm used to sleeping in, in the morning, but mom gets up around 8 or 9 am, which means i have to get up 2 hours earlier to get my back moving, coffee in me and get alive to take care of her.
then she doesn't go to bed until 10 pm and i'm used to staying up until 1 or 2am.
so i'm going to try to...

Titus & Snow

So I guess when Mom & Sara (she has been home sick) 1st let them out in the morning, Titus wasn't sure he wanted to go, but since Cali was OK with it, he went! I let them out again when I got home around 12:30 pm. There was an accumulation of about 3 inches on the ground. Again, poor Titus wasn't sure if he wanted to go out, but once he was he started running from one end of the yard to the other while Cali watched from the porch!

mom seems to be getting over the flu, but moms hygenist just called, said moms face looks swollen & she's still breathing shallow. she's going to try to get the home nurse to come look at her & give me opinion before i take mom to dr. and possibly expose her to swine flu...starting to worry :(
i'm going to call dr. to make sure she's in if i do need to take mom in.
got the answering machine that dr's office is out to lunch and call back after 2

How'd a nice girl like me get caught up in the facebook frenzy
i just joined it to keep up with my kids, neices and nephews and thought it was dumb and boring, but then my dear neice got me hooked on a game called "farmville" and i'm addicted to the darn thing trying to outwit and pass up trble.
gosh, once i conquer this game i wonder what game i'll have to start next to keep my addiction satisfied?...

better late than never...

Titus Update

So..........just to let ya know Titus is doing well. We have found that he likes his belly rubbed, he will work for food, & that he does love his chew bones! Cali is now better accustomed to sharing her peoples. Titus has become used to the routine - esp at bedtime = he waits 1/2 in 1/2 out of his kennel cuz he know his cookie is coming! He is becoming more relaxed around the cats. I love the sibling...

i've set up all the heated water bowls for the animals for the winter and took bob's pool away.
OHHHHH, WAS HE MAD!!!
he came out glaring at me, then started pacing to let me know how upset he was, then he dug a nice big hole where it had been (trying to dig his own pool???). after i came in he got up on his perch and just glared thru the kitchen window at me for a couple of hours.
geez, nothing like a mad raccoons beady little eyes glaring at you from beyond...

i know jerr came up for the week to go hunting with his dad.
i haven't seen or heard from them (just signs that they were here while i was gone).
so i'm hoping they are having a great time on " the great father-son hunt" and that jerr gets his elk and deer.
with the cow he just sent to the butcher and his deer he got so far, that should keep him stocked up on meat for awhile.
at least the weather has been nice. chilly nights, but no snow storms like...

another busy week

does it ever end and i can just be lazy?
mom had 2 bad days so i had to go over and insure her she wasn't dying.
had to go to the dentist monday...NOT my idea of fun.
then i had to shop, check on mom, go to the bank and by the time i got home the novacaine was wearing off and pain set in. asprin wasn't helping and i was up all night in pain.
tuesday still hurting and exhausted from lack of sleep so i did try to rest and do laundry, but the pain kept me up.

my neighbor anne just came by and brought me a bag of tomatoes and some zuchini from their garden as they are doing the final picking.
the clouds are low on the mountains and it started trying to snow while she was here.
then verr don came over to tell me he's unhooked all the hoses from the faucets and is going to drain the irrigation sprinkler line for the winter.
i guess it's getting close for me to start setting up the heated water buckets for the animals and get...

mom called me a few minutes ago and said her left leg is swollen and throbbing.
i've called the dr. and am headed to mom's now to see what is going on.
will update when i know more.
hoping it's just sore from all the walking she had to do when we went to get her hearing aids.

a busy weekend

jerr and janelle came this weekend. it was his last weekend to hunt on his valley floor permit for ''antlerless."
they got here around 9pm as he went out scouting before he came. the farmer that gave him permission to hunt on his land has finally cut his corn so jerr found a good size herd that he planned to get out early on saturday morning to try for. he also got his steer sent off to the butcher while he was here. they've been raising these calves for about 1 1/2...

got mom new hearing aids and she can hear perfectly (these are the latest and best).
now she keeps telling me to quit yelling .
sigh.
now i have to re-learn how to talk as it's been forever that i've had to yell for her to hear me
