oh goody, it's firework month  don't forget to care for your
animals that might get freaked from the noise. many dogs and cats are lost in this season.

I absolultley HATE his whole ######## month! Legally, they are not supposed to do fireworks a week before and a
week after the holidays , but there are WAY too many idiots who do not care about the laws, and the police are not concerned with enforcing the law.

i thought it was legal here to do fireworks for a week before and a week after???? i warned mom of that the other day, as when i was out planting more flowers i kept hearing a "boom" go off about every 10 minutes and couldn't figure out what it was as it was broad daylight, but it sounded like a "cherry bomb" (or someone shooting off a shotgun, but we were in town). on my way home i saw that the firework booth places were up and it dawned on me what month it was (duh) and i figured they were demonstrating now and then. luckily angel doesn't seem to be bothered by lightening and fireworks, but mom said that day she kept getting up 'checking' out all the rooms' every now and then. mom thought angel was looking for me, but i explained the booms (mom couldn't hear them) and that i thought angel was just doing a 'sentry' thing each time to make sure the house and mom was safe (as any other time i am outside angel just lays around with mom and doesn't care if i'm outside or not). even tho bangs don't seem to bother angel, due to the fact that mom lives right in town and right behind the fairgrounds i told her that we will have to see how angel reacts to all the things they put on in the summer that is so close to the house and if angel starts getting nervous we will have to lock her in the house when events are put on. which means i need to keep up on all the events planned at the fairgrounds  during the summer...oh goody!
 (just a tip to dog owners); even if you think your dog isn't scared of fireworks, it's
better to be safe than sorry and take appropriate action by bringing them into the house where they are safe and secure.
good thing i'm stocked up on 'herbal doggy downers' as they seem to help the dogs that i have that get nervous (destiny & jake especially---freedom likes to go out and watch them, but i always go out with him just to make sure he is okay).
