facebook seems to be the hot area that everyone uses so i decided (finally) to join it so i could keep up with all of my family and friends that seem to use
it.
i don't get it!
i've spent days trying to get it all set up and figure it out, but it's all foriegn to me.
i'm either doing something wrong or face book sucks
.
it's a pain to click around and see peoples posts. the posts are condensed and you can't see the whole thing or the replies. pictures you have to go to the album and then you just see pictures but no explanations or know who is in the picture...oh i could go on about what i don't like.
i just don't get why facebook has become the popular posting place as to me it seems antiquated compared to a regular "blogger" option and maybe i'm prejudice but yuku has so many more options.
the main thing i don't like about facebook is that it is hard to get around in and when someone posts that post is short, condensed and you lose it as new posts are added.
that is the same thing i found with blogging. there is only one page so the posts go down to the bottom and are never seen again as new posts are added. (where on yuku i can 'stick' posts like "what is the best food to feed dogs" so it is always on top for anyone to refresh their memory).
maybe i'm spoiled (or just used to yuku), but i like that it has the ability to make seperate forums that people can go to if that is what they are interested in, the posts, replies, pictures etc. are there forever and in easy format to see the original post and replies.
if someone wants to see just pictures they can go into someones 'images' and there are folders that one can make different subjects of i can post pictures with explanations of what they are in the post.
we have fun things like 'emoticoms', different colors, perky backgrounds, font colors, text sizes and all of the things that you can use like 'word' to make posts more interesting.
maybe i'm spoiled and this is just familiar to me, but so far what i'm seeing in comparasin of the two i'll take yuku over face book any day
can anyone tell me why facebook is so popular? is there something that i'm not finding or doing right to get it to be enjoyable to read?
