by lunch time the lil fellow was starting to show signs of life !!! so i took a lunch (an unknown luxury at the place i worked but word was starting to spread what i was up to so my dispatcher covered me ) and rushed lil bob to the vet. he was 1 lb 3 oz ! we gave him subq fluids and between me and the vet decided he was more in the cat family than the dog so i started bottle feedin him kitten replacer milk, out of a little kitten bottle. WOW did that little fellow come around fast!!!!!!!!!
as he ate small amounts every couple hours day and night the woman with the black circles around her eyes with the odd creature clinging to her shirt while she drove a dump truck thru town became a common sight. luckily it was summer so when at rest i had a small cat crate in my truck. to warm his bottle the little kitten baby bottle fit nicely in a place where mothers are warm and would warm his 1 oz feeding in no time to body temperature.
at home he had a large dog crate to sleep in but ran the house and seemed to take to a cat litter box like it was every day stuff to him.(THANK GOODNESS)
i got him a little harness and tried to leash train him. he would put up with it as long as i let bob go where bob wanted to go!
he would follow me and adreanna (my youngest daughter ) around like a little puppy. bath time he liked to sit on the table and watch but being more curious than a cat usually ended up in the tub with me where he'd glare at me like "why'd you push me"
even at bob's young age HE COULD CLIMB! there was no problem him getting up on the furniture to be with me . he liked to sleep on the back nestled against my neck "hiding" in my hair. sometimes getting so tangled in my hair adreanna would have to "save " me and work him out trying to leave the hair in my head still---it was quite a chore!
